Cooking with Fritz ~ Today: George’s Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

Hello dear fans!

Life in the Mansion would not be the same without our animal family (and no I am not referring to Rhage), each in their own way play a key role in the daily lives of the Brotherhood. The constant companion to our King is loyal, strong and has a heart of gold. George deserves a treat fit for a King and it is my honor to prepare that treat for him.

George’s Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

Ingredients
• 1/2 cup wheat germ
• 1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
• 1/3 cup rolled oats
• 1/2 cup all-natural peanut butter
• 2 tablespoons oil
• 1 egg
• 1/2 cup water

Directions
Preheat oven to 300 degrees
Combine wheat germ, flour and rolled oats in a bowl. Add peanut butter, oil, egg and water. Mix all ingredients together (I found if you do this with your hands or in a food processor it is much easier). On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick and cut with cookie cutter. Place biscuits on a lightly grease baking sheet and bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Turn off oven, but leave biscuits inside until crunchy, at least 1 hour. Store biscuit in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

Yields 40 biscuits

You if you have a pet, try to do this!

Fritz
