Cooking with Fritz ~ Today: Nalla’s Chocolate Pudding

Hello dear fans!

I think we can all agree the most precious member of mine family is Nalla. She has everyone wrapped around her little finger, yes including myself. She is pure of heart and has a smile that would even melt the Omega’s cold heart. Nalla loves when I make her special Chocolate Pudding and of course I love to make our angel happy.

Nalla’s Chocolate Pudding

Ingredients
•2 cups whole milk
•2/3 cup granulated sugar
•1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa  powder
•3 tablespoons cornstarch
•1/8 teaspoon salt
•1 large egg, lightly beaten
•4 ounces semi sweet baking chocolate, chopped
•1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions
In a medium sauce pan over medium-high heat, whisk together milk, sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch and salt. Cook 5 minutes while continuing to whisk. In a small bowl add egg and 1/3 cup of warm milk mixture. Whisk together and pour egg mixture back into sauce pan. Cook for 3 minutes whisking constantly, while pudding thickens. Remove from heat and add chocolate. Stir until chocolate is melted and pudding is smooth. Stir in vanilla, pour into 5 small bowls, cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Yields 5 servings

*whipped topping can be added right before serving.

I hope you all enjoy!

With Love,

Fritz
