Until July 10th, we're doing something special and sharing
some of our favorite Story Lines of the year that previously didn't make it
onto the blog.
In this one, Rehvenge arrives at Assail's house, ready to confront him about a body he found in an alleyway near Iron Mask.

**The gif is for your use, especially if you have a blog or
if you want to upload it to tumblr. Personally, I have NO idea how to do
either. I just make them! *Laughs*
Google, google, google, my friends.

*Parking my Bentley, I remain in the car for several
minutes, passing time slowly. Personally? Assail doesn't strike fear in my
heart, the black muscle it is. No, quite opposite. From his little
"gifts" in alleyways to ignoring my phone calls... it cranks my shit
right out. Opening the door and slowly getting out of the car, my Ferragamo's
aren't marred by his pavement. Assail is like me in ways... he has style.
Class. But he doesn't know when to keep his nose clean, pun intended. Reaching
into the vehicle and pulling out my cane and sable, and checking underneath my
Tom Ford jacket for my Hecklor and Koch--I don't want to go unarmed, especially
given the way other conversations goes. If worst comes to worst, gripping my
cane's handle tight as I move up the drive way towards the front door, I can
always bring my fucking sword to a gun fight*
Assail Ghardian
*Glancing at the screen as an alert of an
intrusion shows up. On the screen I watch as a Bentley drives up the driveway
and parks yet no one steps out. There is only one person I know who would drive
such a car but the question is....what is he doing here? Looking over my
shoulder at Ehric and his twin.* Go and meet our guest at the door, but do not
harm him. *As they both nod before turning and heading downstairs I get up from
behind my desk. Straightening my tie before leaving my room and heading down to
the kitchen. Pouring myself a snifter of Brandy just as I hear the doors open
and the sound of footsteps along with a cane echo throughout the foyer. Turning
around to see Rehvenge, sable and all standing in the entry way.* Ahh
Reverend, to what do I owe this surprise visit to my home?
Rehvenge Ghardian
Don't bullshit me. You know exactly why
I'm here. *Plugging my cane into the polished marble floor and making my way
closer to him, he may know one side of me. Leahdyre. The Glymera bullshit. He
is also well informed to the seedy side, being the ex-reigning Drug Lord over
Caldie and he stepped into my shoes. Speaking of which, lowering my eyes to his
loafers, it brings a smirk to the corner of my mouth. My feet are bigger. But
he-nor no one else outside of the Manse knows about my OTHER side. The Symphath
King. He may think I'm a Half-Breed but he doesn't know the full extent. And he
doesn't know that I am god damned sure he's blocking me from his cranium
access. So if he wants to play mind games? I'm game* Nice place you have here.
*Looking around at all the glass and elegance...* I'm not going to leave with a
bullet in my neck, am I?
Assail Ghardian
*Taking a sip of my brandy as I watch the
reverend examine every detail of the room. Elegantly smiling at his little jab
about a bullet in the neck....now there's an idea.* I assure you, you shall
leave here unharmed as I have told your king I was unaware of the attack that
transpired in my home. *Continuing on as he scoffs* As you may recall I was the
one who provided the escape vehicle that got your king out of here was I not?
Now for your reason of being here I assure you that I have no knowledge of what
it could be. As I have told you countless times that I resign from the council
and am therefor completely uninterested in it's goings on. I am simply a
business man interested in that which only helps my business thrive, I have no
interest in the political garbage that is the Glymera. *Shaking my head subtly
to Ehric as he eyes the back of the reverends head.*
Rehvenge Ghardian
*Raises both brows* Who said I was here on
Glymera biz? *Taking my stance, casual as I know that one of his friends is at
my back, showing I'm not threatened. At all* Can't two friends just have a
casual conversation in the midst of company? *Cocking my brow, he offers me a
Brandy-which I take. It would be rude NOT to accept his offerings, feel me?*
So, I have a question. *Raising the Brandy to my mouth* Are you going to offer
me a seat or are we just going to stand here sizing each other up all night?
Assail Ghardian
Forgive me I seem to have forgotten my
manners. *Gesturing towards the kitchen table* Won't you please have a seat. *Taking
a seat across from the male I used to look up too. It seems strange but he
seems...smaller somehow. Definitely out of place among my possessions as well
as in so many other ways. We sit in silence for a few moments, both of us
eyeing each other before I clear my throat.* Might I offer you something to
eat? Refresh your drink perhaps? Or shall we just get down to the matter of
your visit which you have yet to inform me of.
Rehvenge Ghardian
No food. *Placing down the brandy on the
table* And this is fine. I don't want to go home with alcohol on my breath.
*Leaving it at that, he doesn't need to know about MINE shellan-especially
after our last convo. Steepling my fingers on top of the table, how to approach
this.. ah, yes, I'm not one to bullshit around* I found your gift in the
alleyway. The Female? *Cocking my brow, his face gives away nothing* Next time?
Leave your trash in a dumpster, not for plain view.
Assail Ghardian
*Smirking as I hear him mention not wanting
to go home with alcohol upon his breath. That shellan of his must not be all
that tolerable, or perhaps he is diluted in some ill begotten attempt to save
her from all that is evil in the world. Such a typical bonded male response...refusing
to let my mind go where it so desperately wants I concentrate on the
conversation at hand. It appears Amelia is still talking even after being long
gone. Though with him being here it is obvious that only he believes it was I
to cause her untimely end. Of course he's right....in a way...however I would
be a fool to admit to any such thing. My face and voice not giving away
anything as I speak.* Surely I have no idea what you're talking about, I don't
waste my time with females and if I did they wouldn't be found in an alleyway
as you so vividly pointed out. I'm afraid you've got the wrong man.
Rehvenge Ghardian
*Rolls my eyes briefly before focusing on
him again* You can cut the bullshit. Under all the rot, it smelled like you.
The signature. Honestly, I didn't know you had it in you. You-- *Raising the
Brandy again, using it to motion to him* don't seem like the type of male *Or
have the balls* to hurt even a hair on top of a Female's head. Now tell me. If
you didn't? Who did. *Wording it as a statement, not a question, I meet his
eyes. And the cold, calculating male who they belong to. Under different
circumstances, he and I might've got along. We're cut from the same cloth, he
and I. We do nothing without reason* Tell me why you left her there so close to
Iron Mask.
Assail Ghardian
Well if I was the one to have done what you
are so sure that I have, do I seem like the type of male that would be dumb
enough to leave something like that so close to where anyone could find it?
*Watching the male across the table from me as he listens to my words. Knowing
that he knows it was I who did it however also able to see that even he
believes I wouldn't have done it so close to the Iron Mask. Which of course is
true, when it was done it was way beyond the IM....some low life must have
moved it or perhaps a stray dog or two carried the useless remains closer into
the city.* As to the why it happened, I believe you said something about a signature
or inscription of some kind? Perhaps that could be a clue. I however will have
to inform you once again that I have no knowledge of what you are talking
about. I apologize if you have come all this way for that sole purpose only to
find out that it isn't true but so be it. *Rising to my feet I raise a brow as
he makes no move to get up. Raising a brow I look down at him.* Was there
something else, perhaps another accusation you would like to throw my way?
Rehvenge Ghardian
Accusation... *Clenching my jaw, the tic
forming there as I remember I cannot KILL him. Too messy. Now Xhex on the other
hand...... Shit, John Matthew. And Trez is too messy now. iAm? There's a plan*
Have you followed up on that helpful little info I gave to you? Or are you just
letting it slide? Hmm...? *Cocking my brow before taking a deep drink of the
Brandy, I don't feel the burn as it goes down my throat and lands in my belly,
but I sure as hell have the taste on my tongue* You know, you've been imputed
in Wrathh's assassination attempt. That's not going to go away anytime soon.
Assail Ghardian
*Turning my head slightly at his next
statement before slowly taking my seat once again. Making sure to keep my voice
as calm as I can though having a bit of difficulty keeping the malice from it.*
The problem has been....dealt with. However I thought you had said that only
you and the brotherhood were aware of the slander against my name. Surely the
king knows that I had nothing to do with what transpired here last fall....if
there are any more names of any others who have tarnished my good name I
implore you to give them so that I may deal with the transgressions against me.
Rehvenge Ghardian
*Shrugs my shoulders slightly before
answering, that's neither here nor there* I could tell you but *Starring
straight at him, using his words* I know nothing of it. *Using my cane to plug
it in the floor so I can rise slowly to my height as he pulls out one of his
cubans and continues to strike his lighter instead* But as soon as I do? I'll
let you know. *Winking and turning towards the door, his lackey moves out of my
way and opens it* Oh, and Assail? *Turning to look over my shoulder, a brief
grin on my face* Next time use a ditch or a quarry. You don't want to be under
the Human's eyes again, now do you? *Leaving him to his cuban, I head to the
door, his reply muffled by the closing of the door*~
